A little bit about me
Hi, I’m Alex, a Somerset-based wedding photographer with a love for storytelling through honest, documentary style photography.
My journey with photography started way back in 2006, armed with a slightly clunky Olympus camera that was definitely not high end, but to me, it was pure magic. Most of those early photos were a bit off centre or accidentally blurry (sorry about that), but I was hooked. There’s just something about freezing moments, capturing life as it happens, and chasing that buzz every time I pressed the shutter.
I took a detour into music for a while, I was a drummer (yes, I’m the guy keeping the beat, not stealing the spotlight) but photography always had my heart. In 2015, I found my way back to weddings and I haven’t looked back since. Probably because lugging around a drum kit is a lot harder than carrying a camera.
Weddings are a wild mix of emotion, energy, and genuine, unforgettable moments and I genuinely love being part of that. It’s not just about pretty photos (though you’ll get plenty of those), it’s about telling your story as it unfolds, naturally and without fuss. I work in a relaxed, creative, and unobtrusive way so you can focus on soaking it all in while I quietly capture the magic, and maybe sneak in a few jokes along the way.
Choosing a wedding photographer is a big decision, and I don’t take that lightly. From our first chat to the final delivery of your images, I’m here to make the process simple, stress free, and dare I say actually enjoyable. Because weddings should be fun, and so should your photos.

I’m lucky enough to share life with my wonderful wife Gemma, no, she’s not my assistant, just my better half and biggest fan. And then there’s Finley, our adorable cockapoo and certified mischief-maker. He won’t be stealing the spotlight in your photos (don’t worry), but he definitely steals our hearts every single day.
I’m a down to earth person with a knack for sarcasm. I enjoy engaging in random conversations about life When we meet, I can promise you two things: belly-aching laughter and beautiful photographic memories we'll create together.

How I would describe my style
My style is documentary/reportage.
I’m definitely not one of those photographers who’s bossing everyone around all day, telling you how to stand, where to look, or how to “behave.” Nope, I leave the storytelling to you and your guests to bring the drama (and the fun).
My job? Simple. I’m the sneaky sidekick who frames the perfect shot while blending in like I’m just another party guest. I hang out on the side-lines, quietly soaking up the beautiful chaos as it unfolds.
My style is all about catching those genuine, un-posed moments, the little sparks of magic that often fly under the radar but, trust me, are the ones you’ll treasure forever. Because the best photos aren’t stiff and staged, they’re alive, bursting with real love, laughter, and a dash of cheeky fun.
Once the day has ended and the confetti has been swept away, all that you are left with are a hazy collection of memories and a dazzling array of photographs.
